How each one actually works
A photometric unit fires a burst of high-speed exposures as the ball leaves, some units adding club data from the same frames, and computes launch, speed and spin from what it photographed. Why cameras win indoors
An indoor shot lives for a few feet before the screen ends it. That is the whole case: the camera has already finished measuring by then, and the radar has barely started.
